New Orleans, LA, August 29, 2006
http://www.adlersjewelry.com — a leading purveyor of fine jewelry and gifts in the New Orleans and Gulf South Region, is marking the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina by doing what it does best – providing fine jewelry and New Orleans gifts.

Adler’s Jewelry is participating in the Wynton Marsalis Emeril Katrina Anniversary event by hosting “Jewels for Charity,” a fine jewelry celebrity charity auction, and providing the gift baskets that will be presented to visiting celebrities.

“Each gift basket will contain a New Orleans note pad created by recognized stationery designer, Alexa Pulitzer,” said Mildred Adler, a member of the fourth generation of the Adler Family. “On the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, it is especially important to recognize the local businesses and individuals that have supported New Orleans through this ordeal.”

The “Jewels for Charity” auction began on August 22nd and will close later this week. Visiting celebrities, including Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind & Fire, will be performing, and everyone is invited to bid on a collection of fine jewelry named “The Hollywood Collection”.

Fine jewelry showcased at Adler’s Jewelry on Canal Street includes Madonna’s wedding tiara, Eva Gabor’s heart-shaped sapphire earrings and Terry Moore’s favorite watch.

“All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Wynton Marsalis’ Rebuild the Soul of America Trust,” said Mildred Adler. “Adler’s Jewelry is honored to have been chosen to host a charity event so important to New Orleans.”

Order New Orleans note pads as included in the celebrity gift baskets.
